Sky Ladder III explores the fluid architecture of thought, where memory, imagination, and consciousness exist beyond the constraints of linear time and physical space.
The recurring ladder becomes a metaphor for the mind’s continuous movement — ascending, diverging, and overlapping across multiple layers of perception. Rather than functioning as a literal object, the ladder suggests a passage between different states of thought and awareness, connecting spaces that may exist simultaneously within the mind.
The painting unfolds through vibrant fields of colour and gestural abstraction. Soft pinks, blues, greens, and yellows overlap and dissolve into one another, creating a psychological landscape in which boundaries between the tangible and the imagined remain fluid.
In this space, past, present, and future coexist, allowing conventional notions of chronology and physical location to fall away. The ladders appear to move beyond the visible frame, suggesting that consciousness itself has no fixed direction or destination.
